Welcome aboard Belmond British Pullman
Last week we were invited to visit the Belmond British Pullman train to have a look on board and find out all about the short breaks and day trips on offer across the UK.
Not only were we blown away by how luxurious this train is, but also how flexible it is as an experience. Every detail, from the destination and number of guests to the entertainment and menu, can be designed with your guests in mind.
The Belmond British Pullman, sister train to the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient Express, is all about heavenly interiors, fine dining and simply having fabulous fun. As you settle into one of the art deco carriages, sipping champagne and gazing at the gorgeous details, you know that this will be a trip to remember.
The journey, which departs from London Victoria station, takes you through scenic landscapes to vibrant cities, historic houses and world-class events. Some of the destinations include magnificent castles and stately homes, such as Chatsworth, Arundel and Blenheim. Others include some of the country’s great cities, such as Bath, Canterbury, Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Cambridge.
Alternatively, you can choose to take a signature journey, where you can experience the train without leaving your carriage. These non stop journeys usually take you through Kent, the luscious Garden of England. This is also a great opportunity to build in some fitting entertainment such as a murder mystery, which is extremely popular on board.
They also offer an evening called ‘The Dinner’, which is fine wining and dining at its best. Or you can opt in for a Celebrity Chef Dinner, where one of the country’s most celebrated chefs prepares an exclusive tasting menu before passing through the carriages to say hello. This is ideal for intimate dinners or afternoon teas. Alternatively, you can choose to hire the whole train and host a drinks reception on the move, whilst travelling to a destination of your choice.
These exclusive and truly unique experiences make for the perfect employee incentives or great corporate hospitality. The train has a maximum capacity of 226 and is made up of 11 carriages. Each carriage can seat between 20-26 people and can be hired exclusively for an intimate, once in a lifetime event. Whatever your preference, you’ll find a journey to leave you and your guests inspired.
