Investment Readiness Workshop

The project

We designed and delivered this 2 day workshop in partnership with Knowledge Transfer Network, Santander, Kirwans Solicitors and Tech North, after identifying a need for it among the startup community in the North. The aim was to provide practical and comprehensive training for businesses looking for early stage investment. We also felt it was extremely important to include a pitching element to the offering. The training was delivered by the Head of Access to Funding and Finance at Knowledge Transfer Network, with the due diligence delivered by Kirwans Solicitors. The event was promoted to businesses across the North, with an application process in place to make sure we selected 10 businesses who would benefit the most from the workshop. The 10 businesses attended a full day of training covering areas including; how to sell your proposition to an investor, valuation, exit strategies plus 30 second and 7 minute long pitching practice. They then had a week to perfect their pitches before returning to deliver this to a panel of investors and financial advisers, who provided valuable advice.
